UV flatbed printing

Peculiarities of flatbed UV printing

With the advent of UV inkjet technology, digital direct printing on rigid sheet materials became possible. It made a breakthrough in the production of visual advertising, as earlier the manufacturers of advertising were limited by silk screen printing (i.e. it was impossible to print cost-effective short runs, it was impossible to achieve high quality of raster images, a long and difficult technological cycle).

Due to immediate polymerization of the ink on the surface of the material under the influence of UV lamps, flatbed printing allows to convert a wide range of materials and offers excellent opportunities for commercial graphics and interior design.

APC Univest is one of the leaders of UV printing in Kiev and Ukraine. With a fleet of three top-class UV machines of Oce Arizona brand, we offer high-quality UV printing 24/7 all year round

In addition to standard strengths of UV printing the following should be noted:

  • printing on various sheet materials with thicknesses up to 40 mm;
  • environmentally friendly printing without any solvent in the ink;
  • bright and rich colors thanks to high color intensity;
  • wide color range;
  • resistance to fading under the influence of UV rays – over 3 years

APC Univest offers a number of important unique advantages. They are:

  • the size of the printing area of printers is up to 3×2.5 meters;
  • printing with whitewash (possibility to obtain the original color on transparent media);
  • printing with photographic quality (droplet size in our printers is only 6 picoliters);
  • color profiles for each type of material and accurate simulation of Pantone colors

The exact curved cutting, creasing, milling of sheet materials in Kiev can also be ordered with APC Univest. At our production site we have a Swiss machining complex Zund G3, which processes all the materials after printing accurate to 0.1 mm, leaving a perfect edge and not damaging the edge of the printing.

How does the print go?

Action 1

Preparing the layout and sending it to the machine

Action 2

Processing the file with a raster processor

Action 3

Positioning of the material on the printer table

Action 5

Fixing the ink on the material with UV lamps

Action 4

Applying ink by jet method (using printing heads)
